About Wrestling - The NAIG wrestling competition consist of both male and female individual competition for the midget, juvenile, junior and senior age classification. There will be several weight classifications in accordance with the different male and female age classifications. In the double elimination bracket draw format a win advances the wrestler to the next round and closer to the final. A first loss relegates the athlete to the repechage (consolation) rounds for (third place) and a second loss eliminates the athlete from the competition. The size of the bracket is a multiple of 2: 2,4,8,16,32, 64 and so on. |
